Welcome to Broads View

Broads View is a specialist residential service located close to Beccles Quay, on the edge of the historic Suffolk market town. We provide person-centred support for adults with learning disabilities and complex needs, including individuals who may experience behaviours of concern.

Our approach is rooted in Positive Behaviour Support (PBS), focusing on understanding each person as an individual and creating the right environment for them to feel safe, settled and supported. We work alongside people to help them build skills, confidence and meaningful routines, enabling them to live fulfilling lives in a setting that respects their choices and individuality.

Broads View is made up of six self-contained flats, each offering private living space, alongside welcoming communal areas that people can choose to use as much or as little as they wish. This model promotes independence while ensuring support is available when needed.

Our Approach to Care

At Broads View, we specialise in supporting people with complex needs, including those who may have experienced placement breakdowns, long hospital stays, or restrictive care environments in the past.

Our experienced team works proactively to reduce distress and increase stability, helping people to move forward at their own pace. We aim to break cycles of repeated hospital admission by offering a calm, capable and non-institutional environment, where people are supported to regain confidence and feel at home in their community.

Support is flexible and responsive, recognising that people’s needs can change over time. We work closely with families, professionals and commissioners, and support individuals for as long as they need us, while also encouraging progression and increased independence where appropriate.

Food & Menu

At Broads View, we recognise that mealtimes are an important part of daily life, offering comfort, routine and opportunities for connection.

Our service includes dedicated catering support, allowing care staff to focus more time on supporting individuals and promoting independence. Each self-contained flat has its own kitchen, enabling people to prepare meals themselves with staff support if they wish, while shared spaces offer opportunities for social dining.

We provide three main meals each day, along with snacks, and always offer choice. Dietary needs and personal preferences are fully respected, and for all food preparation staff hold relevant food safety qualifications to ensure high standards of quality and cleanliness.

Mealtimes at Broads View are about more than nutrition — they are a chance to enjoy food, spend time together, and take part in everyday experiences that support wellbeing and independence.
